What Is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based treatment (most commonly used to help individuals with autism spectrum disorder [ASD]) learn new skills and decrease any behaviors. It does this by applying empirically validated tactics that are based on the principles of behavior, and collecting data on the individual’s performance throughout each session. The data is then graphed and analyzed to examine the effectiveness of those tactics. If the current tactic appears ineffective in helping the child learn a new skill or reduce a behavior, an alternative teaching strategy is employed to help the child reach mastery.
Sweet Bloom ABA Program
Sweet Bloom ABA offers a comprehensive therapy program that is designed for children from the ages of 2 to 5 years that present with delays and/or deficits in any developmental domain (e.g., communication, social/emotional, cognitive, and adaptive). We offer both full-day and half-day programs where children will be evaluated at the onset of services and provided with an individualized treatment plan that consists of developmental and/or behavioral goals.
Once your child is ready to begin treatment, a behavior technician will work with your child in a one-to-one setting to meet program objectives using the principles of ABA. This means that your child’s performance will be documented and monitored to ensure that they are progressing towards mastering each goal. We offer both full day and half day programs.
Our comprehensive program integrates...
Language and Communication Development
Children with ASD may need a little more help and guidance to start communicating in comparison to other peers. They may benefit from either expanding their vocabulary, learning to formulate complete sentences, answering and asking different types of questions, or even requesting things that they need or want. Our treatment plans are highly individualized to your child’s needs, but they all include programs that focus on developing your child’s receptive and expressive language.
Social and Play Skills
Our full-day program designates a time at the end of the day when your child will have the opportunity to work on exploring other toys and activities. Our team prepares group activities to promote socialization and encourage your child to try new things.
“The most important thing people did for me was to expose me to new things.”

Community Outings and Group Activities
Many children may become unaccustomed to visiting new places and find crowded spaces overwhelming or exhibit an increase in behaviors. To better acclimate children to new settings, community outings are offered in our full day ABA program. Children will visit a community space or establishment in a small group. Our goal is to help children become accustomed to visiting new spaces, follow parent(s) directions and help strengthen our ASD community.
Collaboration
We believe that in order to help your child truly thrive, teamwork is essential. Hence, our staff works closely with one another and have meeting times built into their day to ensure that all team members are on the same page, treatment integrity is being maintained, and additional supervision is offered to the staff. Furthermore, our BCBAs work closely with your child’s related service providers, such as Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, and/or Physician, to help facilitate your child’s overall development.
Parent Involvement
It is not uncommon to hear that a child may not demonstrate the skills we observe at the center in the home. Sometimes, your child may need a little help with generalization, or parents may need to modify their approach in the home. Moreover, we see children make bigger gains when the family carries over strategies and work on them outside the center as well. Consequently, we strongly encourage parents to observe their child’s session at least once a month and require that parents partake in the parent training meetings with their BCBA. To further promote the generalization of our programs to your home, our team shares detailed notes regarding your child’s session every day, weekly updates pertaining to your child’s treatment plan, weekly homework assignments to complete with your child, and access to all of your child’s program graphs.
